The RDLS Stakeholders Meeting 2019
Ghana Health Service and Millennium Promise Alliance Ghana holds a crunch stakeholder meeting in Accra to upscale Rural Diagnostic Laboratory Services (TLI) to cover some Rural Underserved Communities in Ghana.
Millennium Promise Alliance Ghana initiated the TLI, now Rural Diagnostic Laboratory Services in 2007 under the leadership of Dr. Yanis Ben Amor, the Executive Director of the Centre for Sustainable Development (CSD), Columbia University. The initiative which was piloted in Tontokrom in the Amansie West District of Ashanti region has greatly reduced maternal mortalities in the area.
A practical demonstration of the site selection mobile application was done and a consensus reached.
Dr. Patrick Aboagye, the Director, FHD of GHS, who chaired the stakeholders meeting highlighted the need to roll out RDLS across the country as a significant intervention towards Ghana’s maternal mortality reduction efforts as a country.
Chief Nat Ebo Nsarko, the country Director of Millennium Promise Ghana emphasized his outfit commitments towards improving the health sector of the country by implementing life savings initiatives with technical support for the Ghana Health Service.
